Blood Collection
SAFETY NEEDLE HOLDER
Globe Scientific’s safety needle holder is designed to protect blood collection
personnel from accidental needle sticks. The safety holder features a plastic
shield that is used to cover the exposed needle after the collection of blood.
The user will hear a “click” sound that indicates the needle is secured and
ready for disposal.

Screw the needle completely onto
the holder. Remove cap from needle.

The safety shield can be rotated for
comfortable blood collection. Simply
grasp the end of the shield and
rotate.
2.
Perform blood collection according
to established safety procedures.
3.
Immediately after blood collection,
swivel the safety shield over the
needle to prepare for closing.

Close by pressing the safety shield
against a hard surface.
5.
Dispose of the blood collection
device into a Sharps container.
NEVER reuse the device after
initial use.
